I’m an escapist, I get itchy feet and love going on adventures and driving random places. I like finding good books, films and music to get lost in. I like surrealism, using my imagination and finding stuff out. I’m optimistic and normally try and find the good in people and situations. I’m not usually easy to fool though, I like to keep up with what’s happening in the world. Adverts tend to make me there’s little hope left for humanity. I'm a fan of taking things easy, rest and sleep are good. I try and avoid joining trends; most mainstream stuff doesn’t excite me much. I’m always one of the last people to get the latest gadget or upgrade. I love music, live music, new music, old music. I find Italian, Spanish & Mexican food many tasty. I have a very sweet tooth. Je parle un peu français, mais pas assez.

I love lots of loads of kinds of music. I'm a sucker for songs with pianos in them, or brass instruments, or theremins. I love music that sounds like the sonic equivalent of E-numbers. I love hearing a good song for the first time. If you know summat you think I should listen to let me know! I love hearing new stuff! BBC 6 Music is probably one of the only stations worth listening to. Most of the stuff on commercial radio is bobbins. I like going to the cinema (and sneaking in my own sweets). I like quirky little films that aren't just straight forward and don't just spoon feed you a hackneyed plot. Creative cinematography and dialogue makes a good film great, dontcha think? Foreign (language) film is very often some of the best, Hollywood tends to homogenise film... I like cheesy 80s films too. Monty Python films. Bond films. Classy 60s films like Charade or Accident. Disney's Robin Hood, how can you not get that tune stuck in your head :P Peter Sellers' or John Candy's films.

I avoid reality TV like the plague. I don't really watch much telly anymore but I love comedies and satires. Classic comedy like Fawlty Towers, Yes Minister, The Good Life, Dads Army, Monty Python, Porridge and Blackadder (despite Ben Elton's writing). Those quizcoms like Nevermind The Buzzcocks, Q.I. and Have I Got News For You. Some modern BBC comedy like Look Around You, The Mighty Boosh or Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle, most of the rest is bobbins. Proper documentaries. 80s cartoons like Stoppit and Tidyup, The Racoons, Sharky & George, Danger Mouse, Super Ted and all that jazz! Maid Marion! The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy and anything filmed in supermarionation.

I like a lot of books, contemporary literature mostly, but I'll read almost anything! I usually need some insider info on which books to read so if you’ve got a good suggestion let me know! I'm hopeless at the whole arts/creative side of life but I'm many drawn to it all.
